Preservation
Materials Preservation Program
Every digital copy is stewarded under explicit rights, readability checks, OCR status, and a long-term preservation plan.
Mirrored archives
Every title in the Discussion Publishers Library is preserved with redundant copies of HTML, EPUB, plain text, and cover art, and assigned a permanent library number and ISBN.
License verification
Each title carries an explicit license tag. Downloads are gated by the license: public-domain titles can be downloaded without restriction; restricted items are read-only.
Provenance & audit logs
Staff curation, submissions, approvals, and downloads are recorded in an immutable audit log.
Open access by default
Catalog metadata is exposed via stable URLs (/book/<id>, /authors/<slug>) and indexed by search engines wherever rights allow.
OCR / indexing pipeline
Waiting for staff indexing
Text extraction is running
Search and highlights can use OCR text
